Dedicated to Imbolc. February 1st

Brigid: She was the great mother goddess of Ireland, symbolizing the heart and mind fires of creativity, the fires of the forge and hearth, the holy waters of the wellsprings, and coming of spring season observed in imbolc~ Imbolc is a time of re-dedication and purification. In between winter and spring just when winters is at its coldest, supplies get limited, and through the dark nights of thick snow~ Brighid’s conversations are still whispered through the oak trees and through the fire that ignites the passion of hope, endurance and purpose. As an alchemists She turns Water into Fire ~ Winter into Spring, the bitterness to sweet.

Her message is to live a life of art. Embracing the journey, not the destination. Enjoying the working of the work and not just the result of the work.

Historically (roughly): People came all over to learn her skills of blacksmithing, and learn her healing remedies. She was also known as a milk maid, a midwife, and healer.
